1982 Sports figure?!
……I’m taking this no-where……. (OK, I can’t resist…. Title should have been the Rise and Fall of an American Hero……, sorry, couldn’t help it)
Speaking of sports, our class routinely planned outings to see the Dodgers ($5 a ticket), and the Lakers and Kings ($4.50 a ticket). PARKING is now $20—$30 for a Laker game.
I’m kinda tapped out for our Freshman year. Not a lot of memories or memorabilia. We’ll have to discuss more in Palm Springs.
I do remember a very diverse group as we began our journey. Some of us hadn’t finished college, others had abandoned careers to start over. Most of us spoke pretty good English. Individually, all of us wanted to succeed and most of us wanted all of us to succeed. I rediscovered the TDN…….
Test Distribution Network. Back then it meant a lot of trips up to the Administration’s huge Xerox machine, going thru reams of paper to get the data out to all 93 of us. We shared questions, we shared answers, we shared life.
