#6 The Legacy of News Caries

BREAKING NEWS:  Denny is finalizing the numbers for the Palm Springs Weekend.  Please e-mail him with your intentions.  As you have seen from his emails it is going to be a HUGE weekend, over half the class has already signed up, and almost 100 for the Golden Probe Awards Extravaganza.

If your name isn’t on the list, or you know some one who should be on the list, get on the phone!  It is going to be a great weekend of fun and memories.  (In a few more years we will have less of both……)

First, the layout.  Monthly, 3-4 legal pages, calendar on the front page then announcements, cartoons by the Master Chris Choo, reports from Clinic Rep., DSA Rep., The Rumor Mill, and, of course, the party schedule.

A few social highlights from the first issue of our Sophomore year:
--Business appointment cards, $10 for 1000, (Note: half price of what LLUSD is offering), go class of 86!
--Magnifying loupes, (swing downs), $8.35 + tax, elsewhere, $20.  (thanks Carey!)
--Free lunch, meet you little brother/sister for free “grinders”
--Disneyland tickets, ADA was meeting at Anaheim.  5pm-1am.  $7.00!  Was this 1883, or 1983?
--Sail to Catalina.  $2 deposit, $16.50 per person, (thanks Paula!)
--“Rootin’ Tootin’ Cowboy Fall Roundup” to “get back in the saddle again” party.  (Whaaaat, we talked like that?)
--Halloween at the Moore Ranch, a legacy in the making

The Rumor Mill
--Jeri was available for dating.
--Jim Redfield did not pull the plug on our fridge, I accidently did.

NOTE: we included a freshman calendar  for our first New Caries, our Sophomore year with their test schedule, party schedule, etc., encouraging them to start their own newsletter.
